Clay on Tour

I am always amazed and moved by the ceramic work of different cultures. Often, geography and geology will determine the materials used, the forms made, and the methods of and fuels for firing. Decorative motifs can be symbolic, humorous, whimsical, evocative, perhaps even all at once! I have tremendous respect for all those working in clay around the world and have posted here images of some of the people and ceramics I’ve encountered in my travels.
